The Athalia Scalping strategy is a trading approach that utilizes the 30-minute (TF 30M) and 5-minute (TF 5M) timeframes employing the Exponential Moving Average (EMA) indicator with a period of 5, MACD (12,26,9), and channels to determine trends and entry and exit signals.
Below are the detailed rules and strategy:
Indicators Used:
- Exponential Moving Average (EMA) with a period of 5, applied to the highest price (High) displayed in blue.
- Exponential Moving Average (EMA) with a period of 5, applied to the lowest price (Low) displayed in red.
- MACD (12,26,9).
Rules and Strategy:
- Trend Determination: On the TF 30M, observe if the MACD has previously crossed and the price begins to close above the upper channel (for BUY entry) or below the lower channel (for SELL entry).
- Trend Confirmation: On the TF 5M, verify if the MACD has crossed in line with the determined trend. If the trend is UP, execute a BUY entry when the price closes above the upper channel, and if the trend is DOWN, execute a SELL entry when the price closes below the lower channel.
- Open Position (OP): Execute the entry when the price closes above the upper channel for an UP trend, and below the lower channel for a DOWN trend, with confirmation from the MACD on the TF 5M.
- Repeat Position (Repeated OP): If the price touches the upper channel for a DOWN trend, or the lower channel for an UP trend, with the MACD still in line with the trend, another entry can be made.
- Exit: Exit the position when a MACD crossing occurs on the TF 5M, or there is a change in MACD crossing on the TF 30M. The minimum target is 15 points, with the maximum limit being a MACD crossing change on the TF 5M or 30M.
- Stop Loss: Place the stop loss 15 points from the High or Low level of the candle/bar used as entry, above the upper channel for a DOWN trend, and below the lower channel for an UP trend.
- This strategy only utilizes timeframes no greater than TF 30M.
- This scalping technique requires discipline and quick responsiveness to changes in trends and market conditions.
This strategy prioritizes fast entry and exit signals in seeking small profits with controlled risks. Be sure to test and adjust according to your trading preferences and style before implementing it directly in the market.
